Location: Cold Lake, AB
Position Title: Skilled Labourer
Position Summary
Quinn technicians are responsible for completing work assignments in a safe, orderly, and productive manner as plant conditions dictate. General laborer duties may include, but are not limited to the operation of equipment, safety watch and assisting various trades-persons. Other tasks may be assigned as required.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct and participate in pre-job toolbox meetings and Pre-Task Analysis to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them

Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of immediate supervisor

Receive permits for required tasks (i.e. pending qualification as a permit receiver)

Review Safe Work Procedures associated with the job prior to task execution
-
Carry out work in a manner that will not jeopardize own/others safety
-
Perform work without damage to tools or equipment
-
Identify changes to workflow or problems associated with task execution and report to Quinn supervision
-
Return all tools (clean) back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift

Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks

Maintain positive relations with customer and co-workers through effective interpersonal and communication skills
Position Requirements
-
Previous knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Legislation as it relates to work processes

High degree of Safety Awareness and commitment to safety, his/her own and other workers
-
Capable of working in a multi-trade, multi-skilled work environment

Follow all Quinn and Client safe work practices, procedures and guidelines
-
Attend safety meetings
-
Complete mandatory site training as required
-
Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime as per customer request

Must be prepared to work at assigned locations as the workload dictates

Demonstrated mechanical ability
-
Able to meet conditions outlined on the Physical Demands Analysis (attached)

Valid Driver’s License
-
Must be willing to learn and take direction from others and willing to teach others
-
Must live in the Cold Lake or Bonnyville area, or be willing to relocate
-
Any previous PJ experience an asset
-
Any well head knowledge an asset
